“The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can.” ~ Neil Gaiman
I have learned, through years of living small, that we can stand still, in a place of routine predictability with our eyes closed, and drift through life.
This is what we gravitate towards as human beings — routine, ease of living, happiness in the most comfortable way possible.
But we crave so much more.
In this place of comfort we stay the same. When I look back across the years, I see the only times I have grown were when I stepped out of that place of comfort, took a risk, and was unwilling to stay where I was. That’s when my life became something bigger and I learned more about myself and my dreams.
The articles you’ll find here are about risk + living authentically + becoming our whole selves. They challenge you to live a bigger life, to step into that place of discomfort and dare to take a chance.
How does this relate to writing? At the bottom of each post you’ll find a writing challenge that asks you to lean into each topic and address what it looks like in your own life. Writing and living big go hand-in-hand.
